We are located 35 minutes South of Saumur. If you want to get away from the most touristic areas of the Loire Valley, and check a different and more authentic side of the Loire Valley, don’t hesitate to pay us a visit, and maybe ramble the beautifull country paths of Argentonnay or Lys Haut Layon.

Our soil, climate and Winemaking

At the very south of the Loire Valley Anjou area, in the north of the Deux Sevres, we have developped our wineyard through 4 generations: Édouard, Ernest, Guy et Jean-Marc who is welcoming you now.

Two different soils are present in our domain: shale alterations and alterites on one part of the domain, and gravelly alluvium of the Argenton river on the other part.

Our oceanic climate is mild and dry in the summertime, providing excellent sun exposure. That’s the reason why we have very consistent quality year on year.

Our Grape varieties

The majority of our wineyard is Cabernet Franc, Chenin blanc (typical Loire Valley white wine grape variety) accounts for about 20%, Grolleau Noir 20%, Chardonnay represents less than de 10% of our wineyard. We grow small surfaces of Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon blanc, Gamay and Merlot.
