Our soil, climate and Winemaking
At the southernmost tip of the Anjou wine region in the Loire Valley, in the north of the Deux-Sèvres, our vineyard has been shaped over four generations: Édouard, Ernest, Guy, and now Jean-Marc, who is delighted to welcome you.
Our estate spans two distinct soil types: schist-derived soils and alterites on one side, and the gravelly alluvium of the Argenton river on the other.
Our oceanic climate is mild, with dry and sunny summers, providing excellent sun exposure. This is one of the key reasons why we are able to maintain consistent quality year after year.
Our Grape varieties
The majority of our wineyard is Cabernet Franc, Chenin blanc (typical Loire Valley white wine grape variety) accounts for about 20%, Grolleau Noir 20%, Chardonnay represents less than de 10% of our wineyard. We grow small surfaces of Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon blanc, Gamay and Merlot.
